AUTOMATIC MICRO INGREDIENT DOSING of various dry components and optional liquid components according to recipes for demanding applications.
The MODULAR DESIGN of the system allows for CUSTOMER-SPECIFIC CONFIGURATION with different container and dosing modules.
The HYGIENIC DESIGN enables a wide range of applications for food, animal feed, chemicals, cosmetics, plastics, and much more.
After a dosing order (recipe) is started in the HMI, the system checks whether an empty container is present on the scale. If no empty container is on the scale, or if a full container is still on the scale, the operator is prompted to place an empty container on the scale. As soon as an empty container is detected, the servo-motor-driven linear axis begins to move the scale to the positions of the dosing points required by the recipe.
Once the scale is positioned under the respective dosing module, it is tared after a short settling period, and the dosing of the components begins.
The standard HSDU dosing module features an adjustable agitator that ensures product flow and breaks up any lumps in the product. The dosing screw operates at variable speed. Optimal speed and accuracy are achieved through rapid coarse dosing at the beginning and slow, fine dosing at the end of the required quantity. A pneumatically actuated elastomer seal hermetically closes the screw outlet when dosing is not active. This prevents product from trickling out and avoids cross-contamination with other products.
An extraction hood with individually closable extraction points on each dosing module can be connected to an external extraction system to minimize dust emissions during dosing.
Once all formulation components have been collected, the scale with the filled container is returned to its starting position.
